I'm Amy, and I'm so glad you're here!

If you're here because you like studying God's Word in-depth every day, you're in good company. After seven years of training Bible school (Moody Bible Institute) and seminary (Gordon Connell Theological Seminary), I still find myself giddy over going deep daily in the Word of God. I get excited when I stumble across a verse I haven't studied closely. I get misty-eyed when I read the Psalms. I have been studying God's Word in-depth for nearly two decades, and I am still head-over-heels in love with Jesus and his Word.

And that's why I started the Bible Study Schoolhouse. I wanted to help others experience the joy of deep Bible study, and the thrill of seeing Jesus on every page of Scripture. I wanted to debunk the notion that you have to go to seminary to be a student of the Word. I've been there, and I'm here to tell you: you can start today, and you can start right where God has you.

All content is written by trained students of God's Word. We're not Christian bloggers. Of course, there's nothing wrong with being a Christian blogger; it's just that, that's not what we're here to do. We want to apply scholar-tested biblical hermeneutics to the Word of God, and guide you through the Word in an accessible way.

We uphold the historic Christian faith. We believe that we're standing on the shoulders of many who have gone before us, including those who originally penned the creeds and councils of the historical Christian faith. We will hold to this shared testimony of faith to the end, including the Christian sexual ethic.

All tools are created for the every-day Christian. No training is needed to use what we offer in the shop! We want to draw you in, give you tools, and equip you for a life-long walk with God through Scripture.

The local church is the primary place discipleship happens. The best discipleship happens in the context of the local church, where life is shared and people really grow! Every team member at the BSSH is deeply involved in their local church community, and we want these tools to point you there as well.

I pray that in this little shop you find something that helps you love getting into the Word every day, something that equips and encourages as you grow as a student of the Word. These tools are among my favorite things I've ever created, and I personally use them every day.
